Sexual Assault Victim Services

-24 Hour Crisis Line: The crisis line provides support and information to victims of sexual assault and their family and friends. The crisis line is supported by trained volunteers and staff. This service is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

-Medical Accompaniment: Trained volunteers and/or staff accompany victims for the forensic exam process in order to provide support and information. This service is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

-S.A.N.E:The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner is contracted with SRSAC to offer victims the forensic exam. The S.A.N.E. is a specially trained, certified nurse who collects evidence for law enforcement.

-In-Person Crisis Intervention Counseling: Short-term crisis intervention counseling for victims of sexual assault and their family and friends.

-Information & Referral: Information about sexual assault and the healing process are provided to victims and their family and friends. Referral to other social service agencies is available for those victims who request additional community services.

-Advocacy: A victim advocate offers support and accompaniment to victims throughout the legal process.

-Support Groups: Support groups for survivors of a variety of sexual crimes.
